I really enjoyed the Young Elite trilogy.  Adelina is definitely not your typical heroine.  She spends a great deal of this trilogy trying to gain power and killing anyone that is in her way.  When the Young Elites start to have problems with their powers, Raffaele discovers that their powers have disrupted the balance of the living and the immortal world.  The Young Elites will be forced to choose between keeping their powers or saving the mortal world.  What would you choose?
