Add it to your TBR list

Okay, so we attempt to read as much as possible, as quickly as possible.  Sometimes we miss a few titles along the way.  This is one that I found on our local public library digital YA list.  I am really enjoying simple, lighthearted, non series reads lately and Six Impossible Things fits the bill.

Six Impossible Things by Fiona Wood

Dan's life is turned upside down when his father moves out, leaving his mother and him penniless. Fortunately, Dan's mom has been left a historical home from a family member, but without much money Dan has to leave his attractive private school, friends, and neighborhood to start fresh.  He attempts to lay low but is quickly discovered by the school bully, befriended by the awkward girl (who he sets up with his best friend, Fred), placed on the school dance committee, and is snubbed by the cute neighbor, Estelle.  Between school and social issues, Dan tries to help his mom by getting a job, taking care of the house dog, and rebuilding a relationship with his dad.  For all of the insurmountable issues Dan faces, the novel wraps up nicely.  The next title by Woods is Wildlife which explores the life of Lou, the awkward girl from Six Impossible Things.
I would suggest this book for anyone seeking a quick fun read.  We have added it to our next book order.
