James Patterson's Witch & Wizard series has been out for a few years; however, I am just now getting around to reading it. I suppose because I finally got an eReader for Christmas. Anyway, we have the third book of the series in our library; however, I have to read things in order.
This was a fast read for me I think because of the "every other" chapter character layout. Whit and Wisty Allgood are a brother and sister team who set out to save their parents. Their rescue mission leads them from saving their parents to liberating a prison full of children and discovering they themselves have magical powers. Unknown to them, they learn their witch and wizard powers can save the world, which is exactly why The One Who is The One wants them dead.
In the past I have read Patterson's adult mystery books so I was a little surprised with this one. I think it will appeal to readers looking for a fast pace read with a lot of action. The end does leave you hanging, so of course I will have to read the second book, Witch & Wizard: The Gift.
